Yesterday’s ‘Mega Music Night’ at Foxholes Village Hall was a resounding success and raised a massive £1803 towards the fund. I’d like to thank not just those that helped with the organising and running of the event but also everyone that joined us for a very special evening. A special thank you goes out to all the musicians who gave their services for free and to the local business that donated raffle prizes.
The acts were: Gary Luntley & Crew, Deadwood ‘n’ Wire, The Sultans of Thwing, Dogfinger, Phil Parker and John Watton. John also supplied and operated the stage sound and lights.
Both Castle Howard and Scampston Walled Gardens have donated visitor passes for raffle prizes. A fantastic single day, family pass for the Christmas period at Castle Howard and an equally fine family pass for Scampston Hall & Walled Garden.
All the wonderful raffle prizes that have been donated will be split amongst the upcoming events. A raffle will be held at each fundraiser being organised over the next few months. The first is the Mega Music Night on Oct 15th followed by The Big Pub Quiz on Oct 27th with more to be announced.
